Mid-range Shoes Shops in Singapore
Having talked about shopping in other countries, I thought I should share about shopping in my home country. What is there to shop in Singapore?? Lots actually!

Number one on my list is of course....SHOES!!! If you have been to Europe and Japan, you will notice how expensive shoes are! An ordinary looking pair of heels cost at least S$100 in Europe. Most of the departmental stores stock up on branded shoes. If you are looking for branded shoes, then go to Europe where prices are definitely much cheaper. However, if you are like me who are unwilling to splurge more than $150 for a pair of shoes cos I just wear them out so easily, Singapore is a great place to get mid-range shoes that are comfortable and look equally stylish.

How about Hong Kong and Bangkok? Yes, you can definitely get cheaper shoes there but you probably can't find your shoe size if you are tall cos the ladies have really tiny feet there! I know I can't and I am a size 9/40 in Singapore. Somehow their size 40 feels more like size 38/39 to me!

Ok, back to shoe shopping in Singapore. Local favourites in Singapore are:

1. Charles & Keith

Every Singaporean woman knows Charles & Keith. Its shoes are stylish and yet super affordable. No shoes are more than S$100. Most of their shoe prices range between S$30 to S$60. Most importantly for me at least, they carry sizes up to 41! Are they comfortable? My answer is yes! Not all of them of course but if you get the right size, most dun bite. If you love shoes, this is a great place to buy shoes without making a big dent in your wallet. :) If you are departing from Changi Airport Terminal 2 or 3, they have an outlet in the transit area. They even have a factory outlet at Anchor Point!

Store location:
Bugis Junction (Signature Label Outlet): 200 Victoria Street #01-06/07/08 (Nearest MRT station: Bugis)
City Link Mall: 1 Raffles Link #B1-30/32 (Nearest MRT station: City Hall)
Marina Square (Signature Label): 6 Raffles Boulevard, #02-108 (Nearest MRT station: City Hall)
Anchorpoint (Factory Outlet): 370 Alexandra Road #01-30/31 Anchorpoint (Nearest MRT station: Redhill; Bus No: 33, 195)
Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 Departure / Transit Lounge North - Second Storey, Unit No. 026-055-02
Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 (Signature Label) Departure / Transit Lounge North - Second Storey, Unit No. 02-53

2. Gripz
This is my favourite! Their shoes are very stylish and pretty! Prices are between $50 to $100.

Store location:
Marina Square: 6 Raffles Boulevard,#03-366 Marina Square,Singapore 039594 (Nearest MRT station: City Hall)
Far East Plaza: Orchard14 Scotts Road,#02-81 Far East Plaza,Singapore 228213 (Nearest MRT station: Orchard)
Raffles Place (Change Alley): 16 Collyer Quay,#02-08 Hitachi Tower,Singapore 049318 (Nearest MRT station: Raffles Place)

3. Pazzion
A relatively new comer in the shoe scene in Singapore. Another favourite shoe outlet for women in Singapore.

Store location:
Marina Square: 6 Raffles Boulevard,Marina Square, #02-301,Singapore 039594 (Nearest MRT station: City Hall)
Wisma Atria: 435 Orchard Road,Wisma Atria B1-09,Singapore 238877 (Nearest MRT station: Orchard)
Bugis Junction: 200 Victoria StreetBugis Junction #02-08Singapore 188020 (Nearest MRT station: Bugis)

4. PrettyFIT
Another local shoe chain that carries pretty shoes that are very comfortable!

Store location:
CityLink Mall: 1 Raffles Link #B1-36 Singapore 039393 (Nearest MRT station: City Hall)
Wisma Atria: 435 Orchard Road #B1-28/29 Singapore 238877 (Nearest MRT station: Orchard)

5. Mondo

Ok, this place carries some of the cheapest stylish shoes I know in Singapore. A clear favourite with teenagers and young working ladies. Prices range between S$19.90 to S$39.90 for a pair. Quality is good for the price. However, I have only 1 pair. Why? This is because most of their largest size 40 can't fit me! So despite the attractive prices, I have no luck with this shop. :(

Store location:
Far East Plaza: 14 Scotts Road #01-63 and #03-54 (Nearest MRT station: Orchard)

6. JWEST

Another local shoe brand in Singapore. Word has it that JWEST means Jurong West, a place in SIngapore where the first outlet was located. Their shoes are stylish and comfortable but pricier than the other brands above - prices are around S$100.

Store location:
Raffles City Shopping Centre: #02-37 (Nearest MRT station: City Hall)
Their shoes are also available at Takashimaya and Robinsons department stores

7. Other local shoe shops

URS & Inc: 391 Orchard RoadB1-53 Ngee Ann City (Nearest MRT station: Orchard)
Rachael G: VivoCity #02-161 (Nearest MRT station: Harbour Front)

Eye catching maybe but they have the worst customer service and they do not care about customer other than their profit. I had extremely embarrassing experience with their shoes on the first day I wore them when I took a new pair to overseas for a business trip. The shoes heel broke in 10 min and the soles were very painful to walk. I was in total embarrassment and yet they would never give a refund. I will never buy from them again.

Share the same sentiment here. I bought a promotional pair at $60+. The inner side lining come off within days. I cannot find another pair that i really liked at that moment but they don't agree for a refund. Topped up for another pair at $120+? Boasted for grrat comfort and design. But it's not TRUE at all. It has slippery heals that threatens to throw me off at the slightest hint of wetness. I went back again to consult the sales ppl. Their face turned black. 'Advised' to just go and buy the thing to glue on the sole or go to a cobbler lah. WTF. Why would a pair of new shoes that cost above 100 bucks needs to be sent to a cobbler? ?
